Michael Holmes’ book Shall Raise Thee Up
I Shall Raise Thee Up, Ancient Principles for Lasting Greatness by Michael Holmes is gripping from cover to cover. This Christian manuscript teaches how to live a life aimed at greatness in the eyes of God. Holmes uncovers lessons from the Bible and uses modern day examples to help the readers become whom God wanted them to be.
Michael uses his God given talent of writing to touch the heart of the reader. His ability to seamlessly run a parallel between the Bible’s ancient principles, his commentary and examples from today form a book that must be read by every Christian. The potential of a book, “birthed out of a brainstorm on a cold bus,” to produce fruit for the Kingdom is eternal.
I Shall Raise Thee Up, is not simply a great read, it is an experience. Michael challenges us to put the lessons to use through real-life application and teaching back the concepts to others. Holmes’ book would also be a fantastic source for a small group or Bible study where each week the group could dissect chapter-by-chapter and take advantage of the discussion questions. There really are no bounds to this book.
Everyone is meant for greatness if they have the desire to reach for it. Go to http://raisetheeup.com/ to learn more about this amazing Christian and his book.

Chemotherapy inspires Mura to write children’s books
ROCHESTER, NY AUGUST 30, 2009: In 2003, Nancy Mura was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer which would cause disfigurement to her face and eventually threaten her life. She prepared for the grueling chemotherapy treatments and felt a profound sense of dread. She had already seen her husband endure quadruple bypass surgery and succumb to heart disease, her sister fight an unsuccessful battle with cancer and losing her beloved mother in 2003. Meanwhile, after detecting 5 lumps on her face, Mura realized she was only beginning her own fight with cancer.
‘WILLIE WHISTLE’ PROVIDES DISTRACTION WITH CHEMOTHERAPY
As a means for providing therapeutic value for her during her chemo treatments, Mura drew from her life as a young girl on a farm and created a children’s book series. The story centers around the fictional character of “Willie Whistle,” a puppy who is abandoned at a shelter which is owned by a white Persian cat named Marta May Paws. It tells of the many different friends he meets who live at the shelter and how they help to raise him, and of all his adventures throughout his growing up years. “People who have read the story have laughed at all the lovable characters, and enjoyed reading it.” Mura explained. Meanwhile, the writing proved to be cathartic for her recovery and she continued writing the series to include 13 books focusing on these loveable animal characters.
“I love reading these stories to children because they are not only cute and visually appealing books, they also teach moral values such as embracing individuality, family and treating others as you would want to be treated,” stated Mura.
The books have been converted to E-Books which can easily be downloaded or read from a computer/IPod. To purchase the first two E-Books, please access the website:

“I hope the book series and revealing my health struggles will inspire and offer others hope.” Nancy Mura
